MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally into Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won the Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song in 2017. He released his debut long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. It was atop the Top Latin Albums chart, it ranked no. 8. Vaina Loca is one of the Top Five smash hit in 2010, featured him alongside Ozuna. He dropped Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album in the following year. In 2021, he also performed the duet for TINI's smash streaming track Maldita Foto. The year 2023 came around and the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in the musical home of his family. Both his younger brother and his mother are also musicians. In interviews, he described music participation as mandatory. When a young boy, he studied the guitar and saxophone. Despite initially wanting to work as a vet, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban music teacher could change the direction of his profession.
